Unterwelt

Two full-page illustrations among the four I made for Unterwelt - una cybersinfonia, a  SF short story by Stefano Roffo settled in an imaginary Prague. It was published along with another short story by Claudio Asciuti in a book entitled Avvisi ai naviganti, by De Ferrari Editore (Genoa, Italy).
Media: acrylic paint, ink, digital editing.

A funny thing about the second illustration is that it illustrates simultaneously two literary works! In fact Unterwelt narrates from another point of view the closure of Gustav Meyrink's novel, Der Golem. This illustration was also selected in 2010 for the Prize Sergio Fedriani - La vita è sogno, exhibited at Sant'Agostino Museum in Genoa and published in the catalogue.

3D set design - The House of Golem

media: pencil, digital

A kind of spin-off from the illustrations I did for Unterwelt. I liked the idea of the abandoned house of Golem in typical Praguese style, so I imagined the whole building with backyard, stairs and rooms beyond the facade that appears in the published illustration.
